SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The European packaging leader Smurfit Kappa emerged as the most awarded packaging company at this year’s Flexograhic Industry Association (FIA) UK Awards. The company won a total of 13 awards for its creative and innovative packaging solutions this year. Since 2013, it has won 113 FIA awards, clearly demonstrating the company’s leadership in the packaging industry.
Smurfit Kappa won 4 Gold, 5 Silver, 2 Bronze and 2 Highly Commended awards. The winning entries for Gold award were packaging solutions for Clean & Co Alcohol Free, Coors Light 20 Pack 2021 VBI, Papa John’s Call of Duty and Stan’s Cider.

The innovative packaging for Frederic Robinson Day of the Dead, WD40 Australia Promotion, Reproflex 3, Stella Petite 4x6 and Papa John’s Godzilla v Kong were the winners of Silver award. The Bronze award winning solutions included Global Brands Hooch and Becks VBI 15 Pack.
Commenting on the company’s success at the FIA UK Awards, Eddie Fellows, CEO of Smurfit Kappa UK and Ireland, said that the awards across a wide variety of categories testifies the skills and knowledge of its printers and the quality processes followed by them. The company will continue to invest significantly in state-of-the-art technologies to deliver more innovative solutions, he added.
