SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): JSW Steel USA Ohio, Inc. a subsidiary of JSW Steel Ltd. announced plans to invest approximately $145 million in new projects to upgrade its manufacturing operations in Mingo Junction, Ohio. The announcement to this effect was made at the SelectUSA Investment Summit held in National Harbour MD.

The announced investments reinstates the company’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable and green future. The operational upgrades will help JSW Steel USA to achieve its previously announced long term ESG goals. Furthermore, it will boost production of high quality steel melted and manufactured in the U.S., noted Parth Jindal, Director, JSW Steel USA.
Meantime, Mike DeWine, Ohio Governor stated that the continued investment in the Mingo Junction plant demonstrates JSW Steel USA’s confidence to grow its global footprint using talents in Ohio. By way of choosing Ohio for the expansion project, the company promises to bring in several good-paying jobs to Jefferson County, in addition to boosting domestic steel supply chain in the U.S., he added.
The successful completion of the announced upgrades will provide additional growth momentum to JSW Steel USA. The new projects are expected to be completed and commissioned in FY26.
