JSW Steel USA Appointed Robert Simon as New CEO

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): JSW Steel announced appointment of Robert Simon as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JSW Steel, USA. He will be responsible for overseeing the entire business operations in the country.

According to company press release, Simon will lead the overall business, comprising slab, coil, pipe and plate production, and sales at Baytown and Mingo Junction. He will report to the respective boards of both the subsidiary companies of JSW Steel.

Simon is an industrial engineer from West Virginia University. He started his professional career as a Production Manager at Oregon Brass Works, where he later became General Manager. He held several key positions, including the Vice-President & General Manager at Evraz North America’s Rocky Mountain Steel Mills. Later, he became the Executive Vice-President, Tubular Divisions. He has also served as Vice-President Structural Products at Steel Dynamics, Inc.

Welcoming Simon to the company, Parth Jindal, Director of JSW USA said that he is a natural and passionate leader. He expressed confidence that Simon’s vast experience in improving and managing businesses throughout the steel industry will help the company to scale new heights. Simon will take JSW USA to the next level of growth, he added.
