DS Smith Partnered with Carlsberg on Innovative Multi-Pack Packaging Solution

The new packaging product solution is fully recyclable, the company press release said.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): London-headquartered multinational packaging business, DS Smith plc. announced partnership with Carlsberg in Poland on a pioneering multi-pack packaging solution.

The company announced launch of DS Smith Round Wrap- a fibre-based packaging solution that rounds corners, thereby reducing the use of shrink film on pallets. The unique design protects and keeps products intact during transportation. When compared to standard corrugated multi-packs, its design reduces carbon dioxide emissions. The new packaging product solution is fully recyclable, the company press release said.

A recent survey carried out by DS Smith and Toluna had highlighted the consumers’ preference for DS Smith Round Wrap as an enhanced wrap around design upon comparison with other packaging solutions.

The DS Smith Round Wrap utilizes Arcwise Technology. Carlsberg Poland will trial the product solution for Carlsberg, Garage and Somersby beer product ranges.

Reiner Schlatmann, Regional Managing Director- Packaging Division, East Europe, DS Smith stated that the company is proud to partner with Carlsberg Poland for the trial launch of DS Smith Round Wrap. The sustainable packaging solution was developed using Circular Design Metrics, he added.
