Constellium Received ASI Certification for Muscle Shoals and Bowling Green Plants

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Constellium SE announced that its Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Bowling Green, Kentucky facilities have received the prestigious Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard certificate. The certification is a testimony to the plant’s strict adherence to ESG standards.

Commenting on the milestone achievement, Fred Pearson, Director of Environment and Sustainability at Constellium Muscle Shoals noted that receiving the ASI certification is an extraordinary achievement for the company. Furthermore, it demonstrates the company’s commitment to manufacture products in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Fiona Solomon, Chief Executive Officer at ASI congratulated the company on receiving the certification. It demonstrates that the company is committed to the responsible production of aluminium, and broader ESG outcomes, Solomon added.

The Muscle Shoals plant produces more than 450,000 metric tons of finished aluminium coils per year. The recycling center has capability to recycle the equivalent of 20 billion aluminium cans per year. In addition, it also produces aluminium automotive coils, which are then processed at the Bowling Green plant.

The Bowling Green plant has an annual production capacity of 100,000 metric tons of flat rolled aluminum, which are mainly supplied to the automotive market.
