SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): UFP Industries announced that one of its affiliates have completed acquisition of operating assets of T&R Lumber Company. The acquisition also covers T&R’s affiliates- Sullivan & Mann and Kelmar Creations.
According to company press release, T&R will become an affiliate of the UFP Industrial business segment. The unit will continue to function under the leadership of Phil Guardia, President, T&R.
Scott Worthington, president of the UFP Industrial business segment commented that the company looks forward to harness the power of the strong leadership team and solid track record of growth to grow its agricultural product offerings and customer base at its affiliates across the country. Meantime, Matthew J. Missad, CEO, UFP Industries, welcomed T&R into its dynamic and growing team. The addition of T&R will help to expand its portfolio of value-added offerings to agricultural customers, he added.

Phil expressed hope of expanding their regional success across UFP’s national footprint. UFP Industries was a perfect fit for the company, in terms of family culture and team approach, he added.
T&R is a major manufacturer and distributor of products, primarily used by nurseries. It had clocked sales of approximately $31 million last year.
