SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): River Metals Recycling announced that its Newport scrap metal facility is currently undertaking several actions to address noise complaints from its neighbours.
The company said that it plans to install a custom sound barrier to reduce noise from the Licking Pike facility. The proposed installation of sound barrier will reduce noise emanating from the facility by up to 85%. Furthermore, it will also reduce the neighbourhood impact associated with combustion events at the site. The construction of the barrier is in progress and is expected to be completed within a few months.
