SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Nevada King Gold Corp. announced commencement of its third phase of regional drill program at its Atlanta Gold Mine Project, following receipt of all necessary approvals from the Bureau of Land Management.
An initial 20,000 meters of drilling across about 80 drill targets across the Atlanta district are part of the drill program, according to a company news release. Two reverse-circulation drills will be used throughout the curriculum. Three holes at the Northeast Target and Jumbo areas have been completed by the first drill, which came on site last week. The South Quartzite Ridge Target (SQRT) will make use of the second rig, which was delivered yesterday.
On November 8, 2024, the road building began at the SQRT to allow access to new drill pad locations along the eastern side and top of the ridge. Most of the road construction has already been finished, ahead of time. The construction was initially projected to take eight to twelve weeks.
"The new high resolution data and a thorough understanding of the structural and lithological controls have provided a number of high priority targets for Phase III drilling program," said Cal Herron, Nevada King's exploration manager, in response to the development. He stated that the business is eager to test these goals as soon as possible.
