January 1, 2025: Scrap Gold Prices Up, Platinum Unchanged, Silver Down on the Index

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked increased marginally as of Wednesday, January 1, 2025 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. On the contrary, the prices of scrap Silver scrap were down, whereas Platinum scrap witnessed no variation on the Index.

In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were up by $0.99 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap went higher by $ 1.27 per Lb and $1.56 per Lb respectively. 9 carat gold scrap also edged higher by $ 0.63 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap witnessed no change from $ 665.69 per Oz. Silver scrap prices were down by $ 0.46 per Oz.

In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices went higher by $ 0.94 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap too went up by $ 1.21 and $ 1.47 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also increased by $ 0.60 per Oz. The prices of Platinum scrap were flat over the previous day’s prices. Silver scrap prices recorded a marginal decline of $ 0.40 per Oz to touch $ 21.12 per Oz.
