Nucor is already one among the cleanest steel manufacturers of the world. The business uses a circular production method that prioritizes using more recycled scrap materials. By expanding the usage of clean electricity and improving carbon capture methods, the corporation hopes to meet the challenging goals. It also intends to lower the amount of natural gas used in the production of steel.
The company's investment in activities to reach the intermediate and long-term targets certified by the GSCC was commended by Adina Renee Adler, Executive Director. According to Adler, the business is a pioneer in the manufacturing of low-embodied carbon steel.
