SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): According to DS Smith's most recent research, the online fashion business and its retailers must go from plastic to paper delivery bags. The fashion business as a whole, its clients, and the environment may all benefit from the move to fiber-based substitutes.
In 2024, online fashion retailers distributed 941 million needless plastic bags to UK consumers, according to the report. That's almost 1,790 bags every minute. The number of plastic bags used in online shopping transactions has increased as a result of the growing trend of online buying. According to the survey, the amount of plastic bags used by online fashion retailers is expected to increase by an astounding 40% between now and 2030.
