DS Smith Croatian Paper Mill Wins Top Industry Accolades

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): DS Smith Belisce Croatia won two prestigious industry awards. The company’s Belisce Paper Mill won the Zlatna Kuna and the Zlatni Ključ for the third consecutive year.

DS Smith won the Zlatna Kuna award, after being selected as the best company in the Slavonija region. Launched by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the award is given away to outstanding businesses and individuals from across the country for success in business. The company’s contribution to local economy is also considered as a criterion for the award.

The company won the Zlatni Ključ award for the third consecutive time, for being the best exporter to Serbia during the previous year. The award, given away by the Croatian Exporters Association, had recognized best export companies in 19 different categories. Incidentally, the Association works to promote exports of products, goods and services from Croatia.

Commenting on the achievement, Tony Bilic, General Manager, Belische Paper Mill noted that the awards recognize the company’s ongoing focus on delighting its customers. He acknowledged the contribution of every single individual in helping the facility achieve the top industry recognition.

Founded in 1960, Belisce Paper Mill is situated in east part of Croatia on river Drava bank. The mill is a leading producer of Liner 3, Medium, Medium HP and Medium HP Plus packaging solutions, serving local as well as overseas markets. DS Smith had acquired the facility in 2015 and had restarted the operations of paper machine PM3 in 2016.
