Sonoco Named One of America’s Most Trustworthy Companies

The company has been working to make lives better through innovative packaging, Coker added.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Sonoco Products Company, a leader in sustainable packaging with headquarters in Hartsville, South Carolina, has been recognized as one of America's Most Trustworthy Companies 2025. According to the list created by Newsweek in collaboration with market research firm Statista, the company came in at number eleven in the Transport, Logistics, and Packaging category.

700 businesses from 23 categories, including retail, consumer products, healthcare, and aerospace, made up the year's ranking. An impartial poll of almost 25,000 Americans who assessed these businesses served as the basis for the rankings. It represented the opinions and analysis of investors, staff, and customers.

'The honor belongs to its employees,' said Howard Coker, president and CEO of Sonoco Products Company. 'People Build Businesses by Doing the Right Thing' has been the company's motto since 1899. According to Coker, the company has been using creative packaging to improve people's lives.

In related news, the business raised the price of all grades of core board and paperboard in Europe by €60 per metric ton, which would take effect for all deliveries starting on April 7, 2025. The decision was made due to the region's high energy costs and scarcity of Old Corrugated Containers (OCC).
