In addition to maintaining more than 200 current jobs, the company's $62 million investment will generate 77 new jobs in the state, including managers, sales representatives, merchandisers, drivers, and warehouse loaders. In order to expand its regional operations, the corporation plans to lease 360,000 square feet of space. It intends to develop the location into a significant center that will serve manufacturing facilities around the area.
In response, Claymont Renaissance Development Corporation Executive Director Brett Sadler expressed his excitement that Pepsi has selected Claymont for its future expansion. He expressed his expectation that PepsiCo will replicate the Denver facility's successful model to Claymont. Additionally, he conveyed his joy and enthusiasm regarding the local employment opportunities the facility will offer its citizens.
It should be mentioned that only a few months ago, Agile Cold Storage erected a 162,500-square-foot facility on a property next to Pepsi.
