October 7, 2024: Scrap Gold and Platinum Prices Dropped, Silver Up on Index
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 6.18 per Oz.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold and platinum prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked declined as of Monday, October 7, 2024 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Silver scrap prices increased marginally over the previous day.
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 6.18 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap inched lower by $ 7.93 and $ 9.68 per Oz respectively. 9-carat gold scrap also went lower by $ 3.97 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap saw cut of $ 11.66 per Oz to reach $ 723.29 per Oz. Silver scrap prices increased by $0.55 per Oz when compared with the previous day.
In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices edged lower by $ 5.85 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap were down $ 7.50 and $ 9.16 per Oz respectively. 9 carat gold scrap also was down $ 3.75 per Oz. Platinum scrap prices fell by 11.66 per Oz. Meantime, Non-hallmarked silver scrap prices recorded modest jump by $0.49 per Lb.
