October 1, 2024: Scrap Gold, Silver and Platinum Prices Declined on the Index
The price of silver scrap on the Index dropped by $0.62 per ounce from the day before.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): As of Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the daily scrap gold values—both hallmarked and non-hallmarked—showed a decline on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Also, Platinum and silver scrap values dropped from the day before.
The price per ounce of 14-carat gold scrap decreased by $ 18.10 in the Hallmarked category. The price of 18-carat gold edged lower by $ 23.21 per Lb. The 22-carat gold scrap prices recorded a decline of $ 28.34 per Oz. 9-carat gold scrap also edged lower by $ 11.60 per Oz. Platinum scrap recorded a decline in price of $20.42 per ounce to $718.18 per ounce. The price of silver scrap decreased by $0.69 per ounce.
In the Non-Hallmarked category, the price per ounce of 14-carat gold scrap dropped by $17.12. Additionally, the price per ounce of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap decreased by $21.95 and $26.81 respectively. Furthermore, the price of 9-carat gold scrap fell by $10.98 per ounce. Platinum's price per ounce decreased by $20.42. The price of silver scrap on the Index dropped by $0.62 per ounce from the day before.
