September 19, 2024: Scrap Gold, Silver and Platinum Prices Fell on the Index
The price per ounce of 14-carat gold scrap decreased by $ 2.52 in the Hallmarked category.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): As of Thursday, September 19, 2024, the daily scrap gold values—both hallmarked and non-hallmarked—showed a decrease on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Also, Platinum and silver scrap values dropped from the day before.
The price per ounce of 14-carat gold scrap decreased by $ 2.52 in the Hallmarked category. The price of 18-carat gold edged lower by $ 3.24 per Lb. The 22-carat gold scrap prices recorded a decline of $ 3.95 per Oz. 9-carat gold scrap also edged lower by $ 1.62 per Oz. Platinum scrap had a decrease in price of $4.38 per ounce to $711.62 per ounce. The price of silver scrap decreased by $0.07 per ounce.
In the Non-Hallmarked category, the price per ounce of 14-carat gold scrap dropped by $2.39. Additionally, the price per ounce of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap decreased by $3.06 and $3.74, respectively. Furthermore, the price of 9-carat gold scrap fell by $1.53 per ounce. Platinum's price per ounce decreased by $4.38. The price of silver scrap on the Index dropped by $0.06 per ounce from the day before.
