September 10, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices- Market Report
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 650 per MT.
BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Brass/Bronze and Copper Scrap prices also were up from the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices declined on the Index. In the meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady from the prior day.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 650 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 650 per MT each.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 650 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices edged higher by CNY 300 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery recorded a rise of CNY 100 per MT when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer scrap prices were up by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day. Cu Yokes prices too went higher by CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
Cu/Al Radiator and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices recorded an increase of CNY 100 per MT and CNY 50 per MT respectively over the day.
Heater Cores were up by CNY 250 per MT as of Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Meanwhile, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices were unchanged on the Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 150 per MT.
Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers went higher by CNY 50 per MT each on the Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 150 per MT.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices increased by CNY 150 per MT each as of September 10, 2024.
Also, UBC and Zorba 90%NF witnessed upward price movement of CNY 50 per MT each over the day.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady as of September 10, 2024.
Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were down by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.
Also, 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices inched lower by CNY 50 per MT each on the Index.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid scrap prices declined by CNY 100 per MT each when compared with the prior day.
310 SS prices were down by CNY 150 per MT as of September 10, 2024.
Shred SS prices dipped by CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China edged higher from the previous day.
Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by CNY 50 per MT as of September 10, 2024.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices also increased by CNY 100 per MT each over the day.
