ArcelorMittal Declared New Partnership to Boost Metal 3D Printing Capabilities

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): ArcelorMittal business unit has signed an agreement with a leading 3D printing software and services provider to enhance metal 3D printing capabilities. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between ArcelorMittal Powders and Materialise.
The MoU will provide ArcelorMittal with access to Materialise’s next-gen build processor for 3d printers. Furthermore, the MoU will focus on creating solutions to optimize laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) equipment and metal 3D printing strategies, by integrating Materialise’s next-gen build processor and ArcelorMittal Powders’ AdamIQ range of steel powders.
Aubin Defer, Chief Marketing Officer, ArcelorMittal Powders stated that the collaboration supports the company’s vision to achieve the right blend of digital instructions and steel powders to deliver the best balance of quality and productivity in an application. Materialise offers a formidable channel to bring build instructions straight to the heart of a 3D printer, he added.
