DS Smith Completed One Year of 'Now and Next Sustainability Strategy'

DS Smith has the most ambitious sustainability strategy in the entire sector, targeting to achieve reduced carbon emissions and net zero waste to landfill by 2050.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): On 29th September, 2021, DS Smith celebrated the completion of one year of the launch of its ‘Now and Next Sustainability Strategy’. The efforts over the past one year have significantly contributed to reduction of environmental impacts and creation of a positive impact for the people and the environment.

The company had laid out as many as 26 ambitious targets as part of its strategy, aimed at promoting a circular economy, so as to become leaders in sustainability. It must be noted that the company had launched its first set of sustainability targets in 2018, aimed at tackling many challenges faced by the industry during those times. Over the three-year period following that, the company has been successful in utilizing its capabilities in addressing global sustainability challenges.
