Sonoco Selected as One of World’s Most Admired Companies
Sonoco was ranked second overall in the Packaging/Container industry by FORTUNE magazine.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Hartsville, S.C.-based global diversified packaging company Sonoco announced that its sustainability efforts have been recognized by world’s prestigious lists.
The company has been selected for FORTUNE magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies list for 2021 and as one of Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies in the United States.
Sonoco was ranked second overall in the Packaging/Container industry by FORTUNE magazine. It must be noted that the company was ranked first in the Packaging sector on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies 2018-2019-2020 list. Also, this is the third consecutive year that Sonoco has been included on the prestigious Barron’s list, said the company news release.

Commenting on the achievement, Howard Coker, president and CEO of Sonoco stated that it is honored to once again be included in both of the prestigious lists. The company is committed to creating sustainable products, services and programs for its customers, employees and communities, Coker added.
FORTUNE’s list is considered as a comprehensive report card on corporate reputations. Barron’s list is prepared after a rigorous process that reviews companies based on nearly 230 indicators.
