Started around 1891, William Reisner was picking up scrap metal with a horse drawn wagon. Today his company has one of the most well known and productive logistics departments in New England.
William’s Sons, David and Harold, took over the reins from their Father after the Second World War and modernized the company into one of the first Globalized Dealers of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metal in the area. With a Rail Road spur that holds up to 15 rail cars in the yard at one time, WRCO can reach Domestic Mills and Foundries with its products that other Recyclers cannot, giving us an advantage on better pricing with lower freight costs.
After Dave’s passing in 1980, his son Bill Reisner became President and began his tenure by purchasing one of the largest steel processing machines in the country at that time, a 1600 ton guillotine hydraulic Harris shear, which enabled the company to handle and process demolition and other large steel items in a more cost effective manner.
Specializing primarily in the handling of Industrial scrap metal, the William Reisner Corporation has become the service leader in New England for container pick up and processing of any scrap metal an Industrial Company might produce.
William Reisner Corporation purchases and sells ferrous and non-ferrous scrap at very competitive prices both in the United States and throughout North America and beyond. Scrap is marketed out of our New England yards as well as through brokering the material transactions throughout the world. The competitive advantage we have through our brokerage division is our ability to leverage our client relationships and market knowledge to ensure our clients receive the best value for their scrap regardless of their location. In being a regional leader in marketing scrap, our goal is to provide our suppliers, and multi- national industrial generators, with the maximum value in service and price while our customers, Steel Mills and Foundries receive the most cost effective scrap with a steady supply.
