Waste Services of the Bluegrass (WSB), a family of seven companies that is  locally owned and operated. We are an environmental company based in the heart of the Bluegrass region, in Lexington, Kentucky. Since our founding in 1997, our mission has remained the same; to provide the highest quality waste hauling and disposal services in the region.WSB is a full service solid waste company, offering transportation, disposal and recycling services throughout Central Kentucky. Recycling

Waste Services of the Bluegrass is committed to protecting the environment. Toward that end, we support recycling efforts and accept a wide variety of recyclable materials.Unfortunately, not everything can be recycled, however, so there are some restrictions on what we can and cannot accept into the recycling stream.

Items we do not recycle

• No plastic bags, wrap or film.  Plastic bags can be recycled at many grocery and department stores.  No lawn chairs, laundry baskets, trash cans, toys, blinds or buckets.  If items are unbroken, you can donate them to a local charity.
• No garden hoses, bungee cords, extension cords, holiday lights, ropes, or leashes.
• No tarps, blankets, or clothing.  Items that are in good condition can be donated to a local charity.
• No hangers, swing sets, cookware, knives, chains, scrap metal, propane tanks, helium tanks, or compressors.
• No car parts, tires, or batteries.
• Needles and syringes should be secured in a rigid plastic container and put in your waste cart.
• Electronic items such as TVs, computers, cell phones, radios, or microwaves.
• Leaves, brush, small branches, and grass clippings.

Commercial Trash Service

We provide dumpsters for any type or size of business. If you are not sure what size dumpster you might need, or have any questions, feel free to contact our service representative.

Industrial Trash Service

Our Roll-off Dumpsters can be provided for any kind of project, from cleaning out the garage to a major construction site.  We service Lexington and the surrounding Bluegrass area.

Landfill gas to build cars and a greener community

Waste Services of the Bluegrass is proud to announce its partnership with Toyota Motor Manufacturing in the region’s first business to business landfill gas to energy initiative.Up to 100% of the methane gas captured at Central Kentucky Landfill in Georgetown, Kentucky will be purchased by Toyota, which estimates the locally generated gas will supply enough power each year for the production of 10,000 vehicles. WSB is committed to smarter and better ways of doing business to enhance our community and environment.
