Washler Construction was founded in 1997. In the begining we specialized in new home construction, then in 2012 we changed our name to Washler Inc and discontinued most construction services.Our primary focus now is providing outstanding trash and recycling services to Dekalb, Steuben, Allen, Noble, and Whitley counties.

Washler, Inc. is the only garbage and recyling company in our service area with a fleet of split body trucks that are capable of collecting both trash and recycling materials at the same time.All recycling materials are collected in a single stream. This means you do not have to sort your recyclables. Put them all into one conatiner and let us do the sorting for you. With single stream recycling and our split body trucks, no one makes recycling easier than we do.Has your garbage bill been going up? The national companies that haul trash in our area think it is just normal business to raise your rates every few months just to see if they can make a little extra off of you. • We offer recycling pick up to every client we serve*. All our trash is picked up using split body garbage/recycling trucks that can collect both trash and recycling at the same time. We make recycling easy, just put all recyclable items in one container and we will do the sorting.

  * Whitley County resident are not included in our recycling services because they already have a very well run county wide recycling program.

• We will never charge you a fuel surcharge, environmental fee or other creative fee meant to milk a little more out of you, like the big companies do. We also will not raise your rate unless we have to.

• Our professional drivers will always be safe, courteous, respectful, and helpful.

• We will be on time. Most of the time your pick up time will not change very much at all. Of course trucks filling up and having to go dump and routes changing from time to time may change your time by a couple hours; however, most of the time we will be there about the same time every week.

• We will always support the local communities that we do business in. We currently support such organizations as Pleasant Lake PTO, DeKalb County 4-H, Steuben County 4-H, DeKalb County Relay for Life, Jackson Township Little League, and many others.

• Your money helps the local economy. We spend our money locally on such things as fuel, tires, parts, repairs, and many other areas. This helps to keep our local economy going. Spend money with the big companies like Serv-All, Allied Waste, Republic Services (All the same Company by the way) or Waste Management and your money ends up in Phoenix or Houston Where they are more concerned with Wall Street and Shareholders. We care about you of customer, friend and neighbor!

Washler Inc. Offers Many Solutions for Your Clean-Up Needs

We offer competitive pricing and outstanding customer service on a variety of Rear-Load Dumpsters and Roll-Off Boxes to service your needs.We can handle anything from a simple Household Clean-Out, Roofing Debris Removal, Construction Site Clean-up, and even special curbside pickup of large items. You want it removed, we have you covered.We are happy to assist you in selecting the correct container size from 2 to 40 cubic yards.  No matter what waste removal project you have, our courteous and knowledgeable staff is here to assist you in all your dumpster needs. ​

Trash Guidelines:

• Please have trash placed at the curb by 4:00 AM on your collection day or the evening before.

• Containers provided by Washler Inc will remain the property of Washler Inc.

• Serivice is expected to be continious, special rates may apply if service is not kept continuous. There will be a $5 Late Fee assessed to all past-due accounts.

• Residential Service is for trash from one household, sharing of service is not acceptable.

• Please bag as much trash as possible. This helps to keep trash from blowing away as we empty your containers. Don't think this is too important? Try putting a bunch of packing peanuts in your trash unbagged and see where they end up!!! We will do our best to do our job as cleanly as possible, and appreciate any help you can give us.

• HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: If New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas Holiday's fall on a week day the trash will be picked up one day later for that holiday week. If the holiday falls on a Friday, services will not be interupted for that holiday week.

• Concrete, tires, car batteries, liquid waste, electronics, and hazardous waste will not be accepted.

• Yard waste is acceptable in small quantities.

• Fireplace Ashes will not be accepted. Garbage trucks that catch on fire can be really messy.

• If you have a couple extra bags this week go ahead and put them out, we will take it. If you have more than a couple extra please give us a call to arrange a special pick up.

• Large items will be accepted as long as one person can safely load them. Call us for a special pick up.

Recycling Guidelines

• Aluminum: Beverage can, foil, pie, and dinner trays. Please rinse away food residue and place in recycling container for pick up.

• Cardboard: Flatten and place in recycling container. Pizza boxes are acceptable, just make sure you don't give us the pizza!

• Paper: Newspaper, office paper, magazines are all acceptable. Books are not acceptable.

• Plastics: Plastic containers like, milk, juice, detergent, beverage bottles, butter tubs are acceptable. Look for a 1, 2 or 5 in the recycling emblem. Plastic bags l are also recyclable. Plastic toys most of the time are not.

• Steel: Cans and other steel objects that attract a magnet are acceptable. Some scrap metals may be accepted. If the piece poses a risk of damaging our equipment we may leave it behind.

• Glass: Brown, green, and clear glass bottles are acceptable. Please do not place flat glas in the recycling, it will not survive the compaction process.
