When Rick Mechanic, Art Arnstein and Steve Lewinsky formed a partnership in March of 2003, they brought together a family tradition of Milwaukee recycling that dates back to the beginning of the 20th Century.Together, they have built a company that not only keeps alive a heritage of recycling in Milwaukee, but has moved ahead into the new technologies and innovations of the 21st Century.In the fall of 2013, UMS merged with Schulz’s Recycling, creating a greater presence in Wisconsin with eight facilities statewide.
