Founded in 1997, Trash Away brings almost two decades of experience to communities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and we are proud to still serve our very first clients.

We built our reputation as an innovator by creating a unique system to collect and remove trash from high-rise condominiums, without the use of dumpsters. Our system not only removes the odor and pest nuisance of unsightly dumpsters, but it reduces your legal liability. More than 100 luxury buildings in Washington, DC have contracted us for this patentable service. Recycling

We ask and urge our clients to recycle, not only because it is the law but also because recycling generally prevents the waste of potentially useful materials, reduces the consumption of raw materials and reduces the energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions compared to virgin production.Our experienced staff will sit down with you to develop a customized recycling program that meets the needs of your building or community, while making sure that all local and state regulations are met.We can manage your mixed paper needs (cardboard, copy paper, junk mail, telephone books, etc.) as well as commingled items such as glass, aluminum and tin cans, plus any plastic items allowed by your local facilities. We also provide single-stream recycling where available.

Curbside

When you contract Trash Away, our professional and courteous drivers will arrive at your location on-time, every time, in well-maintained and state-of-the-art vehicles. We can provide trash cans and recycling containers and will pick up stray pieces of debris, leaving your community with a clean and welcoming appearance.Our staff is trained and required to remove any spills and keep your collection area clean.Our trained staff will help promote and educate your residents about recycling. We offer easy to follow recycling guidelines specifically designed for your community and jurisdiction.If you've ever had a resident or tenant call asking for help disposing of a large or bulky item (like a couch, coffee table or TV) we can help with that too! With our fleet of collection vehicles, we can accommodate bulk trash pick-ups for items of virtually any size or weight.

Valet

We know all communities are not the same and may not have the opportunity to offer a convenient way for residents to dispose of trash, such as a trash chute. That’s why in addition to our unique bagging system and dumpster services Trash Away can customize a valet trash removal service specifically for you.Professionally attired Trash Away staff members will not not only discretely remove trash bags from your residents' doorsteps on a day of your choosing, they can pick up any stray trash in common areas such as doorways, parking lots or green spaces along the way keeping your entire community clean.

Community Cleanups
