Established in 1963, Tomson Scrap Metal, is the leading privately owned scrap company in Pittsburgh. We have the edge on buying and selling ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. Tomson’s Scrap Metal has 2 convenient locations. The Brackenridge Facility buys all Non-Ferrous Metals, Such as “Aluminum Cans, Copper, Brass, and Stainless.”  The Natrona Heights Facility Buys all The Ferrous Metals,  “steel and Iron “metals including car parts, building materials, machine turnings and chips and much more at both locations. Cars are only accepted at the Natrona location. If you don't have the ability to bring your scrap to us, we can deliver a dumpster “Roll-Off Container” to your location. We can service residential, commercial, and construction sites. We do not accept any mercury bearing items, freon, flammable, hazardous, toxic or radioactive materials. Sealed containers are also prohibited such as; paint cans, gas tanks, fire extinguishers, or any other container under pressure or containing chemicals.
