Sweet Home Sanitation has been serving the community of Sweet Home since 1947. Spanning across three generations, Lester Weld and family operated Sweet Home Sanitation until its acquisition by Waste Connections in 1999.

Waste Connections believes that solid waste service business is best run as a local business managed by professionals living and working in the communities we serve. At Sweet Home Sanitation Service, our service includes regular garbage pick-up, recycling, and several types of specialized containers and services. We strive to employ the latest equipment and handling methods for safe, and efficient removal of solid waste. Residential Services

We offer curbside pick-up of trash on a weekly basis.  We have automated our collection routes wherever possible for maximum efficiency.  Three sizes of carts are offered for curbside services.  All carts have wheels and need to be rolled to the curb for automated collection. Services for residential customers in the county are offered at roadside.  There is an additional access fee for those customers who wish to have their garbage serviced at their home.

Commercial Services

Businesses come in all sizes, and so does our trash service. Schedules - Collection schedules are flexible to fit you needs: multiple pick-up days, every other week or weekly and extra pick-ups help you get just what you need when you need it.

Recycling - Check out our commercial commingle recycling program. Don't pay extra for cardboard recycling or to throw away something that you could have recycled!

Recycling

Our community, like thousands of others across America, is running out of sanitary landfill space. On a national and global scale, society as a whole is consuming valuable natural resources, some of which are non-renewable.

Our recycling program gives each of us a way to conserve landfill space by reducing the volume of waste that is buried in the ground. It also helps us ease the burden on our natural resources by recycling old materials, such as paper, into new products. And by recycling, we save energy and extend the life of our coal, oil, and natural gas reserves.

In a typical community, each family generates about 60 pounds of recoverable newspaper, cardboard, glass, plastic, tin and aluminum every month. Subtract that bulk volume from our local landfill, and it's easy to see that participation - by you and your neighbors - in this program can make a real difference.

Every can or bottle that you recycle is part of a long-range step toward easing the waste crisis we hear about in the news. Your participation in this recycling effort is the cornerstone of a movement that starts here, at home, but that will have a positive, worldwide impact as more and more people make the decision to recycle.
