Our commercial managers will never use gmail, hotmail, yahoo or aol email accounts to discuss company business with you and we will never ask for funds to be remitted to us via Western Union.

Why we do it

Metals are essential for any commercial development and growth of society. There is a strong correlation between growth in population and the need to produce more to cope with their demand. Metals have the ability to maintain their original properties of strength and durability when they are recycled, without requiring as great an energy cost as the process for raw material extraction. As well as the compelling environmental benefits of using recycled materials, Sunberg knows that there need to be sound commercial reasons for using these products - supply needs to be readily available in industry-standard grades at fair trade prices.
To Sunberg, it makes both commercial sense and ethical sense for industry to use recycled materials, rather than extracting raw materials, and we ensure that our service provides a compelling argument for doing just that.Recycling one ton of steel conserves 2,500 lbs. of iron ore, 1,400 lbs. of coal, and 120 lbs. of limestone.

Sunberg sources quality materials for customers
Sunberg specialises in logistical complexities and seek to find solutions to ensure that what you need is delivered to you on time and to the standard you expect. We negotiate the bureaucracy and paperwork of transporting across different jurisdictions in order to provide you with a complete, 'door-to-door' service, maintaining full control of the shipment and providing constant monitoring and follow-up where needed.

Quality control

Ensuring regular supplies of consistent quality goods is just as important as pricing factors.
The key to ensuring that our products meet the needs of our customers is the close, enduring relationship that we have with our suppliers. We work only with carefully selected suppliers who work to the same exacting standards of ISRI and ISO 9001 as us. This ensures that they provide what we need, in the grade we expect, when we need it.
We monitor material not just from source but right through to processing and loading in containers. Material is supplied sorted, either loose, baled/briquetted, cut or shredded, and is shipped ready to be processed. Harmful elements are detected and any contaminated material removed.
Documentation is meticulously examined and full control of the shipment is maintained by Sunberg throughout the process.
