Suburban Waste Services is a local, hometown garbage hauler owned and operated by Eden Prairie residents Paul & Katie Rosland along with partner Rick Sievers.
In May 2011, Suburban Waste Services was honored by the Small Business Administration (SBA) with their Small Business Excellence Award. This award recognizes businesses for their response to adversity, service to their community, growth, longevity and innovation of products and services. SWS was one of seven companies statewide to receive this honor. The award ceremony was very exciting for us. MN Secretary of State Mark Richie and representatives from our congressional and senate offices were also in attendance.SWS was highlighted for our growth from two to ten trucks in 3 years and for adding 10 new jobs to the local economy. We were also recognized for providing outstanding service. We were nominated for this award by our wonderful bank, Venture Bank in Bloomington.
Starting a new business in this economy has not been easy, but with the support from our amazing customers and a great team we have been able to persevere.Thank you to our customers! We are truly grateful for your business and support. We treasure the wonderful emails, letters and complimentary calls from our customers. We look forward to serving you for many years to come

Recycling is important to the environment so it's important to us!We want to make it as easy as possible for you to recycle, so with Suburban Waste you can simply throw all your recyclables in one recycling cart that is collected every second week.
The recycling cart is similar to your regular trash cart except it is clearly marked for Recyclables only.To ensure prompt service, please have your recycle cart at curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day.Recycling pickup is every other week.

Includes information on how to recycle more, proper disposal of household hazardous wastes, backyard composting and yard care; a list of drop off facilities, hours of operation, and the items they accept; a "How-To-Get-Rid-Of-It" Guide; and much, much more.
Minnesota state law prohibits mixing tree, brush and yard waste in with your household garbage.Yard waste must be placed in a Yard Waste cart provided by SWS or in compostable paper bags. Yard waste placed in SWS container should be unbagged (loose). On Jan 1, 2010 a new state law required residents who bag their yard waste to use compostable or paper bags when disposing of yard waste.
Compostable bags include kraft paper bags (large brown paper bags) or bags that are labeled compostable. The bag should clearly state that it meets the ASTM D6400 standards for composting. Please understand we cannot pickup yard waste in bags that are not compostable. It would be a violation of our license.Yard waste service is available as scheduled weekly service or as on call pickup service.
