Sigmund Auto Wreckers has been a family owned business since it was started in the Stoystown area in 1948 by Adolph Sigmund. In 1960, his son, Paul Sigmund, took the business over from his father. In 1987, Michael Sigmund took over from the business from his father. After working at the family business, one of Mike’s sons, Jeremy branched out to start JMS Recycling in Somerset, PA. In 2008, Mike added a second location in Adamsburg, PA after he purchased the former Adamsburg Auto Wreckers from the Zurich Family.
