It all got started in 1991 as a part time hobby cleaning up some old car bodies with an old 1 ton truck and trailer. That was so much fun that it turned into a small business venture with the purchase of a portable car crusher in 1993. Well that was so much fun that in 1995 twenty acres was purchased as a storage area for the crushing equipment. Again, that was so much fun that a 70 ft scale was installed and it was time to incorporate. Now it was for real, and time to get serious, but still enjoy the work. Over the next few years many more improvements were made along with some dedicated employees, many thanks to them!!Today we have all kinds of machines and equipment to process the scrap and make it a pleasant experience for our customers. We operate a 2300hp auto shredder, 450hp aluminum shredder, portable metal baler, portable car crusher, mobile shear, and numerous trucks, trailers, and other support equipment all here on 40 acres. From the very beginning the philosophy has been to pay a fair price and never ever cheat the customer. From the management and the entire team of about 30 employees, we hope you have a pleasant visit at our facility. Bring us some scrap, we are ready to go.

Ferrous prices usually change at the beginning of each month, although prices may change at any moment for no apparent reason or notice. We may deduct for dirt or other contaminants, or reject the load for contaminants, suspicion of theft, ect.

We have a 4 tier price ladder based on tons hauled each month. You must maintain a 3 month average or you will be lowered to the next level. To obtain tier 3 and 4 prices you must operate a legitimate scrap facility with scales or have a mobile crusher or baler.

When you arrive at our yard we will put your scrap metal into 4 basic categories. The better it is segregated the better the price we can pay you.

RTS   Ready To Shred

This category is for scrap that can go straight into our shredder

84 in width limit

3/16 in thick limit unless it is car parts                                             ( no heavy truck parts )

Autos and car parts                      ( only if fuel tank removed or 12 x 12 hole)  4 mounted tire limit per car

1 ton and smaller trucks               ( only if fuel tank removed  or 12 x 12 hole) 4 mounted tire limit

Auto engines and drive line components

Loose tin, appliances, sheet iron, misc thin scrap metal

Mixed & Heavy

Autos with fuel tanks                            ( They still have to have a hole in bottom )

Trucks 1 ½  ton and larger                  ( They still have to have a hole in bottom )

Too small a hole or no hole in tank will result in a 40.00 deduction, for liquid desposal

Propane tanks without valve or large hole

Loose gas tanks with 12 x 12 hole, no liquids

School buses

Delivery vans

Dump trucks                                         ( they still have to have a 12 x 12 hole in the tank )

Dozers, tractors ,forklifts,  farm machinery              ( all liquids must be drained )

Too small a hole or no hole will result in a 40.00 deduction, for liquid desposal

Rolled up cable or chain link fence

Beams, re-bar, material ¼ and thicker

Sheet iron mixed with heavy iron will fall into this category

Heavy Prepared

This category must contain ¼  inch and thicker material

It must be sized 18 in X 18 in X 36 in max

There can be no thin steel in this category

Oversize

This is a catch all for items we have a hard time processing

Diesel engines, large cast iron machinery, forklift counterweights, farm tractors, ect

We may on some occasions buy chain link or cable in the category

Services

We offer mobile car crushing and or baling on your site
Usually 100 car minimum and 200 ton minimum on loose scrap
Price this on request as we have to calculate distance and site conditions into bid

We offer trucking from your site to ours on some items
Price on request—usually around $80.00 per hour trucking time

We offer roll off services BUT limited only to commercial accounts
Home pick up at $80.00 per hour is just not cost effective for the home owner
