Scrap Metal Processors, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Minnesota on March 16, 1977. Michael (Mickey) Minter, owner, opened for business on April 1, 1977 at 155 Irving Ave N in Minneapolis. From 1978 to 1993, the Company acquired several adjoining pieces of property, collectively known as 150 Girard Ave N. In 2003, the Company moved to New Hope. In March 2008, the Company moved it’s warehouse to the River Road Industrial Center, BAE Systems, in Fridley, where it currently houses it’s office and warehouse personnel.
