Alexander Lloyd Irwin started the business in Weyburn, Saskatchewan in 1938, then moved Sandy's Auto Parts to Victoria in 1945. His son Barrie joined the business and continued to run it until 2009. The family business is now operated by the 3rd and 4th generations: Wayne and Robert--A-L's grandson and great-grandson--now proudly carry on the family tradition.
