We understand we are in your "front yard", so-to-speak, and we go out of our way to treat your yard, drive and entire neighborhood with great respect and care. Your Rizzo trash pick-up will be done with clean, modern, professional trucks and courteous drivers. Our drivers don't leave what might spill at your curb to just blow around the neighborhood. They don't toss the emptied containers just any old place. They act like they are picking up at their mother’s house – know what we mean?We believe we provide the best waste control services in the metro Detroit area. That is the reputation we work hard for and we re-earn it every day.Our secret is good people taking good care of you, our neighbor, our customer. Rizzo Environmental Services uses Single Stream Recycling trucks to collect the recycling products left in front of each homeowner’s site. We also have custom recycling programs for any size business including scrap paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and electronics recycling.Rizzo currently collects and recycles over 700,000,000 pounds of recycled products a year. We have strived to dramatically increase recycling participation in each of Rizzo's communities. The big advantage of Single Stream Recycling is the direct reduction in collection costs and an increased efficiency in the sorting process. The increased participation and efficiency reduces the dependence on landfills.
Rizzo is the largest private hauler in S.E. Michigan. With over 50 years of operating experience, Rizzo has been able to fully develop its recycling programs beyond most programs in our area. Because Rizzo isn't a landfill owner, unlike its competitors who must fill their landfills, Rizzo is fully dedicated to the recycling programs that will benefit us all during our lifetime. In 2013 Rizzo Environmental Services bought the Royal Oak Recycling firm to increase the capacity and ability to recycle. ROR has over 80 years of experience, is family owned like Rizzo, and serves not just Michigan but also has many world-wide accounts. In 2015 we added NPR Recycling, Romulus, MI and Cereal City Recycling, Battle Creek, MI under the name of Royal Oak Recycling.
This powerhouse Rizzo-Royal Team can customize a recycling program to fit any business’s needs for most material or manufacturing waste. In certain situations you may be able to earn payments for your recyclables. Just ask us how. Call Rizzo’s Royal Oak Recycling at 248-541-4020.
Welcome to Rizzo Environmental Services, Southeast Michigan’s largest family owned and operated full service solid waste provider for over 50 years, building customer satisfaction on family values, trust, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. As you are now aware, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees has selected Rizzo Services as your new solid waste provider for residential collection and disposal, yard waste/compost, large bulky waste, and recycling collection and processing. We will assume the solid waste program starting October 1, 2015. To assist you during this transition period, we have made available pertinent information that outlines all of the services you presently have and new features that may interest and benefit residents.
New Service - Voluntary Enhanced Recycling Program
In an effort to enhance the existing recycling program, Rizzo Services has partnered with Macomb Township to make 65 gallon wheeled recycling carts available to interested residents. This is a voluntary program and will not increase the current pricing.
Residents that want to participate in the Enhanced Recycling Program can contact Rizzo Services directly at 866.772.8900. Upon request by a resident that they would like a large wheeled recycling cart, the cart will be available in March 2016. Residents that choose not to receive a large wheeled recycling cart can continue to use their 18 gallon recycling bin. Replacement carts are available for $65.00 each, recycle bins are also available for $12.50 each. Please see new section, New Service, Large Wheeled Carts, under solid waste section for the availability of 95/96 gallon wheeled carts for solid waste, and yard waste/compost collection.
Note: Once a resident takes possession of a free 65 gallon recycling cart it is their responsibility to keep it in a clean, safe and serviceable condition. Residents that misplace or remove carts from their property or damage carts, other than through the negligence of Rizzo Services, will be required to pay to have a second recycling cart delivered. Should a resident have their recycling cart stolen, a replacement cart will be delivered at no charge to the resident provided a copy of a police report is presented upon requesting a replacement.
