REMATINVEST was founded in 2003 in Cluj-Napoca, as a Romanian-German joint venture, having its origins in the company Remat Sălaj SA and the German group SCHOLZ AG . Together with the companies within the group, REMATINVESTis one of the largest processors of recyclable materials in Romania. With a tradition of more than half a century, the group companies carry out a diverse range of activities in the field of collection, processing and marketing of reusable materials (ferrous and non-ferrous metals, paper), at a high level of quality, imposed by the market and standards requirements. The experience and continuous development of the company are our strengths. With processing bases throughout Transylvania, our company provides quality products to local and foreign consumers. At the end of 2016, Chiho Environmental Group (CEG) completed the acquisition of Scholz Holding GmbH("Scholz"), one of the largest metal recyclers in the world, with advanced VSU processing capacity, so today Rematinvest is a member of Chiho Environmental Group , one of the largest metal recycling companies in China. As an internationally active group, CEG aims to become one of the world's leading suppliers of raw materials, both in the Asia-Pacific region and in Europe and the USA.
