Putegnat Elementary School in 1915, the first elementary school in Brownsville Independent School District. Dean, along with his father Barry Putegnat, started Rancho Caracol, a wingshooting lodge for sportsman and travelers alike.

Analyze - A RedFish Representative will meet with you and your organization to conduct a waste audit of your organization’s waste stream to determine what we can and can’t recycle according to your organization’s processes and systems. Upon completing the waste audit, your RedFish Representative will give you an estimate on how much you can save by recycling. Sign up to schedule your free waste audit today.
Customize - After your waste audit, your account representative will recommend a size and frequency for your RedFish Recycling program. Dumpster sizes vary from 3-yd, 4-yd, 6-yd, and 8-yd and recycling is picked up on basis of 1-5 times a week (Monday – Friday), depending on the recycling volume and frequency of your organization’s waste stream.
Utilize - Once in place, your RedFish Recycling program is as easy as tossing out the trash. You’ll be amazed at how much waste you recycle and the benefits to your business. You’ll have a piece of mind knowing that you are adhering to regulations and making a difference. As a part of our recycling program, your organization will receive quarterly plaques displaying how much you’ve recycled in the last year, giving a great impression for those new customers walking in the door.
Every Piece Counts
Curbside recycling is your chance to make a difference in our community for future generations with small adaptations to your everyday consumption and disposal habits. Landfill space is limited. Take Action
Contact your city commissioner or officials and let them know you want curbside recycling. It takes a community effort.
Once we pick up your recycling, the recyclable waste is brought to our single stream processing facility and dumped on the floor into one big pile. The recyclables travel along a conveyor belt into sorting lines where RedFish Recycling staff pick off a designated material on both sides of the sort line (ex. one person picks off cardboard, the next person picks off plastic, the next person picks off metal, etc.). Each material is put into a dumpster and is packed into 1,200 pound bales. These large bales of sorted recyclable materials are sent to paper mills, plastic mills, and metal processing plants. Any unrecyclable materials are considered waste and the trash continues down the conveyor belt for proper waste disposal.
Recycling is a smart and sustainable waste disposal solution for our community, our economy, and our natural resources. Depending on the commercial industry, the average organization can recycle 30-75% of their waste stream. So what are the benefits, why do it?
A Recycling program succeeds when it is convenient, so we help you find the best fit for your business. Whether you work in an office and need small recycling baskets next at each desk; you work in a restaurant that has a recycling can right next to the garbage can; or you work retail where boxes and packaging have a designated area to collect and take to the recycling dumpster, RedFish is all about Making Green Simple for you and your organization.
