Recycling Consultants is proud to be a member of The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), a private/non-profit trade association that represents all private/public companies in scrap recycling. We adhere to all ISRI Safety Manual guidelines concerning proper equipment use and maintenance, scrap yard safety, the correct loading and unloading of trailers and accurate material sorting.
All of our employees are required to complete the Federal Railroad Administration’s On-Track Safety courses throughout the year to stay abreast of all federal guidelines and regulations concerning track safety.

Our founder Miles Lynch knows a thing or two about scrap. He’s been in this business for nearly 30 years, learning as much as he can and using that knowledge to help improve the industry.Miles started out torching scrap and working the shredder in scrap yards, but it was when he began his training in rail car parts and rail scrap that he found his calling. From there, he moved on to sales and learned not just the art of trading and managing customer needs, but the importance of creating strong relationships based on straight talk and reliable service. It’s a lesson he still holds near and dear to his heart today.His passion for the industry finds him running both Recycling Consultants and the newly acquired Alton Materials. He continues to build his businesses with the help of his long-standing, dedicated employees.
