In 2010, REAL Wastewater Recycling Waste Management Lucerne was formed from the merger of the two municipal associations for waste water treatment (GALU) and refuse disposal (GKLU) in the Lucerne region that have existed for more than 40 years. These two associations were founded with the aim of reducing the negative effects of wastewater and waste on water and the environment and ensuring environmentally friendly, efficient recycling and disposal.

We are the waste disposal and recycling company in the Lucerne region, which has one organization that assumes overall responsibility for the management of municipal waste and sewage and the generation of energy from it for all municipalities in the region.
