Our parent company Caribbean Fibres, Inc. (CFI) was founded in 1995, as a small family owned recycling concern located in Miami, Fl. It was formed by Jorge L. Barreto, President of Recycle Capital. Serving the waste and recycling needs of business in South Florida, CFI had developed a reputation for integrity and reliability and was delivering value and quality to its corporate clients. By 2008 CFI had grown from modest beginnings to a recycling waste flow processor shipping approximately 2,000 tons per month of groundwood and pulp substitute waste papers thru the Port of Miami and Port Everglades, Florida. CFI was collecting, processing, and shipping worldwide to mill customers located in Asia, the Far East, South and Central America.
In early 2009 CFI began to leverage its’ core recycling business into a diverse set of green resource recovery and energy conservation and management services. As our energy abatement strategies became more developed it became apparent that a more global approach to resource recovery and conservation would better identify who we were and where we were going as a green business.
Recycle Capital was formed to bridge the gap between a recycling business which collected and processed recyclable waste flows and a total solutions resource recovery and energy conservation model integrating resource flow monetization with professionally engineered energy conservation and management, incorporating green building sustainability designs.
