Founded in 1995 by Randy Schlipp and his wife, Gale Schlipp, Randy's Metal Recycling sits on the site of the original Schlipp family business. Located at 7247 Pipestone Road, in Eau Claire, Michigan, the original business was established as Five Corner's Garage - by Randy's grandfather, Karl Schlipp, back in 1947 - and had been idle before Randy and Gale launched Randy's Metal Recycling. The few pieces of leftover equipment from Five Corner's, including a scale and a loader, were just about all the tools Randy and Gale had when they opened nearly 20 years ago.By 1996, Randy and Gale found themselves working with regular customers, and in 1997 the couple worked to finance their first wheel loader. Sons Nick and Ryan have since become involved in the business, and leveraging Randy's unique vision for cleaner, faster processing methods, Team Schlipp has worked tirelessly in pursuit of growth. Randy's Metal Recycling has evolved into a network of world class scrap processing facilities, known as Indiana Metal Group (IMG).

It goes without saying that we abide by all regulations pertaining to the safe and responsible handling and processing of scrap materials. But at Randy's Metal Recycling, we take it further. We set our own high standards when it comes to protecting the environment - and we have done so since our start, back in 1995. We go further by inventing, developing, and implementing technologies, such as our Auto Tap Fluid Removal Station, and we go further by taking the time to safely process incoming materials, the right way.The Auto Tap station is a portable mechanism that allows for the clean, safe, and fast removal of all auto fluids contained in the cars we purchase. This innovation allows us to better protect the environment, and our employees, from the hazards involved with the removal of dangerous and/or flammable fluids from scrap vehicles. We also remove mercury switches from every vehicle we process, even though this is not currently required by the State of Michigan.
