A substance that is prohibited to be included in RAD collections and is considered household hazardous waste if it is flammable, reactive with other chemicals to emit toxic gases or becomes explosive or if it is corrosive or toxic to human and animals.
What to Do with these materials? Teton County Idaho residents can be reimbursed up to $150 per year for delivering select household hazardous waste materials to a certified Hazardous Waste facility; bring your receipt to the Teton County Idaho Count Clerk or the Teton Idaho Transfer Station.
One facility option is the “Teton County Wyoming Household Hazardous Waste Facility,” it is open the first and third Tuesday of the month, from April through October, by appointment only. This facility is located next to the Teton County Wyoming Recycling Center, 3 miles south of Jackson at 3270 S. Adams Canyon Rd.
