For nearly 5 years, the team at R2E has been dedicated to meeting all of your recycling and refining needs. Since starting in 2011 we have served our local/regional community recycling needs, and have since branched out to meet refining needs on a national level.

We recycle and refine many materials from computers and household electronics, to precious metals in many different forms. Secure Data Destruction

One of the many services offered by R2E is secure data destruction. This service is offered to both business and residential clients. We can securely handle the destruction of all media devices including hard disk drives, media tapes, MMC/SD cards, zip drives, CD’s, and any other type of media device that needs wiped, degaussed, or physically destroyed.

Upon receiving your media for destruction, paperwork will be started to ensure that items are handled properly. All pieces of media are isolated in a secure lock box for the duration of the route. Once the truck arrives at our production facility, media items are removed and placed in another secure lock box inside of the building. All serial numbers are then logged, and the media is destroyed. Once destruction is complete, a Certificate of Destruction (C.O.D.) is emailed to the client for record retention.

R2E offers several different methods of data destruction. These methods are D.O.D. and HIPPA compliant. Methods of destruction are as follows:

• D.O.D. Compliant Software Wipe - This method of destruction is focused primarily on hard drives from computers, laptops, and servers. It utilizes Department of Defense (D.O.D.) grade wiping software that securely destroys all data from hard disk drives.
• Full Media Degaussing - This method of destruction focuses mainly on hard drives, backup tapes, and smaller pieces of media. It utilizes our 9000 gauss Degaussing machine that electromagnetically clears all information contained in the media.
• Physical Destruction - This method of destruction is typically used for small, fragile pieces of media that is easier to dismantle/destroy (zip/flash drives, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, CD’s, etc.). Items in this category will either be shredded or destroyed using a drill press and hammer until entire component is completely unusable. R2E strives to offer these services at a more than competitive rate than other data destruction companies. Electronic Recycling

Here at R2E, our focus in regards to electronic recycling revolves around the needs of our clients and community. We offer pick up and drop off services to both business and residential clients throughout several different communities in Oregon, usually free of charge, and always contract free.Once recyclables are received (please see list of accepted items), they go through several stages of processing and sorting to ensure that all electronics are handled securely and responsibly. Since opening in 2011, the team at R2E has been dedicated to environmentally friendly practices that comply with DEQ and EPA standards. We do not ship anything overseas to be processed and only partner with American recyclers. This helps to battle environmental waste poisoning, and also gives you peace of mind knowing that your electronics have been dealt with correctly.

Offering our clients outstanding customer service is always at the top of our priority list, and R2E understands that different clients have different needs. We have options for drop box exchange, dedicated truck pick up, or can pick up smaller amounts of electronics as part of our normal pick-up routes as well. From old broken household electronics at residential locations, to corporation level “clean outs”, R2E is prepared to handle all of your electronic scrap recycling needs.

Accepted Items:

R2E recycles nearly all electronic items. If an item has ever had a power cord that plugs into a wall, or ever took batteries to run, we can most likely recycle it for you. The list of accepted items is almost endless, but the most common examples are computers/computer equipment, circuit boards, servers, networking equipment/switches, phone systems, printers/copiers, solar equipment, personal devices (cell phones, tablets, PDA’s), cords/wires, satellite equipment, test equipment, appliances, factory machines, point of sale equipment, restaurant equipment, UPS battery backups, and nearly every type of household consumer electronic (kitchen equipment, remotes, toys, phones, DVD players, etc.). Console televisions and CRT monitors can be accepted in limited quantities, and must be cleared for pick up by route coordinator prior to pick up. Please feel free to contact us if you’re not sure if your item(s) qualify for recycling.

Refurbished/Retail:

The best form of recycling is re-use. This has been our motto since day one, and we look to maximize the useful lifespan of every system that we can. Our in-house technicians diagnose, repair, and refurbish complete laptop and desktop systems. Once these systems have gone through this process, they are sold in-house at our retail location.In addition to selling complete laptop and desktop systems, we offer tech support and system repair. We are also Microsoft Registered Refurbishers. The list of services offered include, but are not limited to:
