History

Premier Disposal was founded by Michael Dinardi and Michael Fiumefreddo when two friends with many years of Waste Industry experience got together and decided to start a customer orientated waste removal business. Today, with our internal growth and the addition of Kasper Disposal in Hunterdon County and Stallion Disposal Services in Old Bridge NJ, Premier Disposal has a fleet of over 20 trucks servicing hundreds of commercial and Industrial accounts, more than 7000 apartment units and over 5000 single family homes. Premier Disposal prides itself on its exceptional service and customer relations which sets us apart from the competition where unfortunately the customer has just become a “number”. We at Premier look forward to the day that our children will be servicing our customers with the same care many years from now.

Michael Dinardi Biography
In 1964 Michael Dinardi’s family started Middlesex Carting Company in Bound Brook, New Jersey. The name was changed in 1987 and the business moved to New Brunswick where Michael learned all aspects of the waste industry. In 1997 The Dinardis sold their business to a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange and Michael remained as the General Manager. He helped to grow the organization to 100 collection vehicles and over 200 employees with annual revenues of more than $80 million. Michael left the big conglomerate with ambitions to start his own disposal business in December 2008. Premier Disposal opened April 2010.

Our Services

Premier Disposal provides a variety of services to the businesses and residents that live in Hunterdon, Warren, Somerset and Middlesex counties. We work diligently to provide everything from residential recycling to construction site dumpster rental.

You can help us be safe, too.  Keep in mind the following:

  • Every Premier Disposal trash or recycling truck is equipped with a back-up alarm and/or flashing strobes. Whether you are walking or driving near one of our trucks, if you hear this sound (a loud beeping) or see the strobes or white back-up lights, be sure to move out of the way of the truck because it is backing up or working.
  • A number of our trucks are also equipped with backup cameras that sound an alarm to the driver if something is behind the truck. While this is another tool to help keep our employees and the community safe, it's important that people keep clear of the trucks at all times.
  • Never cut in front of or stop suddenly in front of a Premier Disposal truck. Extend the same courtesies as you would to other drivers and keep a proper cushion of space between you and the truck.
  • Keep your children and pets at a safe distance from the truck. Our drivers love to see happy neighbors during their routes, but prefer that you stay on the front porch or in the yard - do not get near or climb on the truck whether it is parked or at work.
  • Also, do not follow the truck on your bike, skates or skateboard or in your car - they make frequent stops and often back up. Never hang on to the back of a truck while doing these activities!
  • While many of our trucks, particularly those that service neighborhoods, are equipped with cameras to see what is behind the truck, do not rely on this for the driver to be able to see you or any of your possessions (cars, toys, etc.). It is always safest to stay away from the truck and all of its moving parts.
  • On your collection day, be sure to move toys or cars out of the path of the truck.
  • Never play or stand in or around trash bins or cans, since you don't know when the truck will come to empty them.

Single Stream Recycling

Single stream recycling refers to a system in which all paper fibers and containers are mixed together in a collection truck, instead of being sorted into separate commodities (newspaper, cardboard, plastic, glass, etc.) by the resident and handled separately throughout the collection process. In single stream, both the collection and processing systems are designed to handle this fully commingled mixture of recyclables.

Proponents of single stream note several advantages:

  • Reduced sorting effort by residents may mean more recyclables are placed at the curb and more residents may participate in recycling;
  • Reduced collection costs because single-compartment trucks are cheaper to purchase and operate, collection can be automated, and collection routes can be serviced more efficiently;
  • Greater fleet flexibility which allows single compartment vehicles to be used for refuse or recycling, providing greater fleet flexibility and reducing the number of reserve vehicles needed. To avoid confusing customers, a large sign or banner is sometimes used to distinguish when a refuse truck is being used for recycling.
  • Since participation requires less work by residents, volume per household may increase.
  • Worker injuries may decrease because the switch to single stream is often accompanied by a switch from bins to cart-based collection.
  • Changing to single stream may provide an opportunity to update the collection and processing system and to add new materials to the list of recyclables accepted; and
  • More paper grades may be collected, including junk mail, telephone books and mixed residential paper.
