Peter Hartnell Precious Metals Ltd. specialises in the recovery of precious metals from wastes and scrap generated by a multitude of industry sectors.

We are a leading UK based precious metal company, highly active in the recycling of silver, gold and platinum group metals from a variety of different waste streams from industry.

The business was established by Peter Hartnell in 1979, and processed material at plants in Daventry and Mansfield before opening our refinery in 1999 in Buxton, Derbyshire.  Today this operates fully to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Standards.  In addition, our collection facility in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire has been operational since 1980. A sister refinery was opened in 2005 in Sweetwater, Tennessee, USA, also with full environmental accreditation.  Both refineries offer hydro, pyrometallurgical, and melting processes to the most modern standards.
