Onsite Electronics Recycling, LLC, is a full service electronics waste recycling firm, providing responsible, environmentally sound recycling of all electronics material. Onsite understands the current and developing standards of handling Electronics and Universal Wastes. All incoming electronics are assessed for their ability to be reused. If reusable and with customer’s consent, Onsite will send this material to our testing department for full functionality testing. Our facilities service municipalities, solid waste facilities, residents and businesses throughout California and Colorado.

Onsite was formed in 2004 to provide responsible management of discarded electronics. Onsite opened its first facility at the San Joaquin County Lovelace Materials Transfer Facility to service residents and businesses in the County. In 2006, we opened our second facility in Stockton to service industrial clients and municipalities outside San Joaquin County. In 2010 we moved to a larger facility in Stockton, where we are currently located, with easy access to service all West Coast clientele. In 2013 we expanded our operations to Fort Collins, Colorado to serve businesses and residents throughout Colorado.
Onsite’s facility was remodeled using sustainable green solutions wherever possible. This includes recycled paint inside and out, polished concrete floors, used furniture, recycled content carpet tiles, energy efficient shades, T-8 fluorescent lights, and water efficient toilets and faucets. In recognition of these environmentally sound practices, we have been recognized with the following awards:
Onsite provides e-waste recycling solutions to public and private solid waste facilities, munipipalities, businesses, schools, non-profit organizations and residents. This includes transportation and recycling services, packaging, collection events and fundraisers.
Janice Oldemeyer is the President of Onsite Electronics Recycling. She has 16 years experience in working with local governments on all aspects of their municipal hazardous waste needs working for Philip Environmental Services, MSE Environmental and Teris. This includes Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), Loadcheck, Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG), Agricultural Chemical (AgChem) and Electronics Waste Programs.
In addition, Ms. Oldemeyer served on the Board of Director’s of both the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association (NAHMMA), serving as Treasurer and President, and the National Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (NPSA). These National Organizations serve as the centralized organizations for the management of Municipal Hazardous Waste (NAHMMA) and Pesticide Stewardship and Management (NPSA). She is also involved in California’s Information Exchange, assisting in the planning of several of the Statewide Conferences. She has given numerous talks centered on responsible waste management and liability reduction at several State and National Conferences.
At Onsite Electronics Recycling, our process is to recycle non-functional electronics and repair, re-use or refurbish functional electronics. When materials cannot be refurbished, we provide for the complete recycling of all end-of-life material collected. We do not ship any whole units overseas or out of State for recycling. This provides our customers with the security that their materials are being managed in an environmentally safe manner and they are not contributing to environmental harm in developing Countries.
Refurbishing is the most sustainable practice because it maximizes the value of functional electronics and prevents useful materials from entering the waste stream. To ensure that all data is safe and secure, we wipe data from all incoming hard drives and use clean hard drives in refurbished items. Refurbishing extends the lifespan of electronics to get the most out of used items. The refurbishing program helps the local community because we donate refurbished items to local organizations.
All electronic products collected are dismantled by Onsite technicians. All components are sorted by type, and boxed or baled for shipment to an end user. The following describes the outlets for all materials generated in the recycling process:
If you are unable to deliver to transport your e-waste to one of our drop-off locations or events, Onsite Electronics Recycling offers residential pickup services throughout San Joaquin County where not prohibited by local laws or ordinances.
Onsite is a DTSC Certified Appliance Recycler. As such, we are fully equipped to handle all appliances which are required to have materials requiring special handling removed. This includes both Freon and non-Freon containing appliances. We work with each client to determine a schedule that minimizes the number of appliances which need to be stored on site. All materials removed from appliances are properly managed.
