Founded in the 1960's, Olsen's Auto Salvage has been family owned and run business for over 40 years, selling used auto and truck parts. We are found in south central Buchanan County, in eastern Iowa, or on the web at our website and at www.car-parts.com. We will ship parts nationwide.Olsen's Auto Salvage sits on 17 acres of land, with over 2,000 cars and 100,000 parts available. There is also a 4,000 square foot shop with three bays for repairs on most makes and models of vehicles.

Olsen's Auto Salvage was founded by Mahlon "Bud" Olsen in the 1960's. Bud had three sons who kept bringing cars home to fix or use for spare parts. Before he knew it, his back field was filling with cars. People soon began asking to haul old cars down to his place or if they could purchase parts that they needed, and his career in the "junk" business began. After his sons left home, he hired a mechanic to help work on vehicles and became a full service automotive repair shop. In 1986, Bud's youngest daughter Sheryl, along with her husband Norm Wordehoff, purchased the salvage yard when Bud retired. While under their ownership, the business has expanded greatly. The inventory grew along with their outreach to their customers. They have computerized the inventory and ship parts nationwide.

Our Services

Olsen's Auto Salvage provides a full service garage for vehicle repair and maintenance. We have a 4,000 square foot shop with three bays. All bays are equipped with hydraulic lifts and up to date tools and equipment. The mechanics will give an initial assessment of the potential problem, then repair the vehicle with new or used parts. All work comes with a 30 day warranty.

Recycle

At Olsen's Auto Salvage, we do not only do repairs, but we recycle. We purchase salvageable vehicles and will pick them up within a 50 mile radius. We also have a car crusher on site for crushing non-salvageable vehicles.
