Nurmo Autopurkaamo's roots go back to 1971, when it started operating with cars, vans and trucks at VM-Kone's premises in Seinäjoki. In 1985, the car dismantling plant moved to Nurmo's Choline, when the name was changed to Nurmo's Car Dismantling Plant. At that time, Autopurkaamo focused its operations on cars and vans. In addition, car tires and rims were increasingly included. The current CEO, Markus Pesonen, "jumped on the stick" in 1993.
