North Pointe Solid Waste Special Service District was created, in 1974, to provide essential solid waste services for Utah County communities. We take great pride in our ability to serve the needs of your community in an efficient and cost effective manner.We provide an environmentally safe place for residents and businesses to dispose of their trash, green waste, construction debris, clean concrete, cardboard, and other recyclable materials. We have two locations. The Transfer Station in Lindon (2000 West 200 South) and the Construction and Demolition Landfill in Fairfield (18150 Allen Ranch Road). We also offer organic compost for sale.We serve Orem, Vineyard, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Highland, Cedar Hills, Alpine, Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, Cedar Fort, Fairfield and Utah County. A participating city's residential garbage is processed at the transfer station. Non-participating cities are Alpine, Cedar Fort, Eagle Mountain and Fairfield. Fees are higher for residents of a non-participating city.

Background

The North Pointe Transfer Station, located at 2000 West 200 South in Lindon, Utah, opened in March of 1994. Originally, all of the waste collected was shipped by rail to the ECDC Landfill located in Sunnyside, Utah. In the winter of 2006, we discontinued using rail and started shipping our waste by truck to Wasatch Regional Landfill located just west of Grantsville in Tooele County. On a daily basis (Monday through Friday), 600+ tons are shipped to the landfill.
