Moore Coal was established in 1929 by JAMES ERNEST MOORE,SR., otherwise known as "ERNEST",as a retail-wholesale coal company. After World War II, James E.Moore,JR., otherwise known as "Jim" directed the company into scrap metal, cardboard and newspaper recycling. In 1969, as area municipalities no longer provided garbage service for businesses in their jurisdiction, MCC added commercial garbage to their list of services. Over the past thirty-five years MCC has expanded their service territory and the types and sizes of containers. Judy Moore Mathis is the third generation of Moores working in the business, and she has many years of experience in all aspects of the industry. You can still purchase coal by the sack or by the ton at Moore Coal, but our main focus now is garbage and rubbish removal and recycling.
